Mountainfilm in Telluride
MAY 22-25, 2014
Mountainfilm is a distinctive blend of films, speakers, gallery exhibits, slide presentations, and seminars that demonstrate the power of visual arts to instigate change. Nestled within Telluride’s dramatic box canyon, this tribal gathering of legendary mountaineers, filmmakers, photographers, scientists, activists and artists invite you to join them in an event that wishes to inspire and educate. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, this year’s symposium theme is “Wilderness.”
Telluride Balloon Festival
JUNE 6-8, 2014
Each year, hot air balloons line up in Town Park, Telluride and take off for a beautiful flight over Main Street towards the valley floor. The skies above Telluride fill with colorful hot-air balloons, and at sunset, the balloons line up on Main Street for the annual balloon glow. A great event for all ages, the Telluride Balloon Festival is one of the most beautiful ways to see Telluride.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival attracts thousands for the summer’s biggest festival. Now in its 41st year, the festival has welcomed Mumford & Sons, David Byrne, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett and other legendary acts. This year’s lineup includes Chris Thile, Bela Fleck and the Colorado Symphony, Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, Ray Lamontagne, and many more.
Telluride Wine Festival

Take delight in expanding your wine knowledge by attending winemaker luncheons and dinners, reserve tastings and special seminars. Telluride Plein Air

Each year, Telluride Plein Air hosts 20-30 nationally renowned Plein Air artists in Telluride. This presents a unique opportunity to observe some of the nation’s best plein air artists as they paint on location in Telluride, Colorado. Elks Park and the courtyard located in front of the historic Sheridan Opera House will be reserved for an exhibition and sale of the pieces created during this week-long celebration of plein air painting!

The Ride Festival brings rock and roll music to the main stage in Town Park, Telluride. On Friday, the festival opens with a free concert in Mountain Village, then the festival continues in Town Park through the weekend. This year, the festival hosts Edward Sharpe, Spoon and the Magnetic Zeros, JJ Grey & Mofro, Joan Osborne, Lucero, The Hold Steady, Vintage Trouble, Rival Sons, Delta Rae, The Wood Brothers, Reignwolf and many more amazing acts.
Telluride Americana Music Fest

The Telluride Americana Music Fest brings 3 nights of acoustic songwriter music to the Historic Sheridan Opera House in Telluride. This year’s lineup includes Holly Williams, Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, Eric Bibb, Carrie Elkin & Danny Schmidt, The Birds of Chicago, Scott Miller, and Greg Trooper.

Telluride Jazz Festival

Since 1977, Telluride Jazz Festival has grown to become one of the premier Jazz festivals in the nation. Performances take place on two outdoor stages during the day and continue in Telluride’s historic theaters and clubs at night. This year’s lineup includes Lettuce, Dragon Smoke, Snarky Puppy, Grupo Fantasma, Poncho Sanches, Jon Cleary and many more.

Telluride Chamber Music Festival
AUGUST 7-17, 2014
The Telluride Chamber Music Festival features chamber music masterpieces played by violin, cello, piano, clarinet and other instruments in an intimate setting. The festival kicks off on August 7th with a casual evening of chamber music in the park, and ends with a free children’s concert highlighting up and coming young chamber musicians.
Telluride Mushroom Festival
AUGUST 16-19, 2014
The 33rd annual Telluride Mushroom Festival celebrates the many uses of fungi, from breaking down plant cellulose in nature to creating nutrients for plants. This year’s theme is “Mushroom Science”, featuring workshops, keynotes, mushroom hunting and more. Each summer, festival-goers gather to pick, discuss, parade, and eat for an information filled weekend.
